Strati Concept Archaeological Digging Station

The Strati Concept Archaeological Digging Station, or SCADS, is a complete field and lab tool roll designed to keep essential excavation, cleaning and precision tools organized in one durable case.

Once unfolded, the case offers 15 compartments and can be opened and closed easily with a Velcro fastening. The fabric is waterproof and highly resistant, making it suitable for repeated use between excavation sites, storage and laboratory work.

  • 5 dental tools for fine excavation and cleaning
  • 4 brushes for delicate field and lab work
  • 3 wooden digging tools
  • 2 stainless steel spatulas with 40 mm and 70 mm blade lengths
  • 1 precision tweezer

The name has a personal story: when this case was created for Strati Concept, my sons were obsessed with their PlayStations. That is where the idea of the “Digging Station” came from. “Scads” is also the name of a fish, which explains the logo design.
