In 2008 and 2009 StratiConcept has invested over 60'000 Euros into research and developmenta of innovative products in the field of archaeology.

Research is indeed considered a fundamental approach in our firm.

The Digital Profiler project was launched in 2009 but could only be completed in 2010 because of our move to Brittany.

The section research and development has resumed its work in 2011.

In 2012 the first Digital Profilers were retailed.

Thanks to the Max-Planck Institute in Leipzig and to the archaeological service of Valenciennes, the first clients... 

Technical characteristics : Rapid, accurate and easy to use

> Profile drawing up to 50cm, instantaneous with 0.1 mm. accuracy

> No contact with the studied object, you can draw the profile of fragile materials such as glas, bone or plaster....

Ideal for the profile drawing of reassembled potteries !

> Immediate visualisation of the profile on the screen of your computer.

> Following up of the placing of the item under the laser by using a digital camera.

> Stepless adjustment of the lighting of the working area by LED

>>> Draw more than 30 profiles per hour!

For a perfect traceability, each Laser Target Photo is composed of:

  1. A photograph of the object without laser
  2. A photograph of the object with laser
  3. A profile drawing at the scale 1/1
